Apple's Identity Management Services team is looking for an exceptional Identity and Security Project Manager to help further improve Apple Accounts. An IdMS Apple Accounts EPM gets to positively impact the lives of billions of users across the Apple ecosystem. This is a technical PM role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, requiring a strong blend of deep technical expertise and higher-level information security knowledge, along with proven experience leading complex security and identity projects. Success in this role requires sharp prioritization skills, the ability to think on your feet, and the confidence to productively challenge and debate technical approaches across every aspect of your projects.

Description

In this role, you will be at the center of how Apple protects and manages digital identities and access across the company, working alongside engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to design and deliver secure, scalable identity and access management solutions for Apple Accounts. Your days will involve translating complex security requirements into clear project plans, tracking progress across multiple concurrent initiatives, and jumping into technical discussions to help teams weigh tradeoffs between security, usability, and speed of delivery. This role requires diving deep into technical details one moment and stepping back to communicate risks and status to leadership the next, while building strong relationships across engineering, security, and business teams to keep projects moving forward. Whether you're untangling a technical roadblock, refining a rollout plan, or challenging an approach you believe could be stronger, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that the billions of Apple users have access to their data with world class security protections.

Responsibilities

Participate & drive project meetings and security design reviews, from high-level functional solutions to detailed technical architecture
Autonomously manage identity and access management projects of varying scale and complexity
Support identity and access management infrastructure and platforms
Respond to identity-related threats and vulnerabilities, driving issues through to resolution
Lead cross-functional projects with minimal direction, operating with a high degree of autonomy
Multi-task effectively and manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent initiatives
Communicate clearly and precisely, both verbally and in writing, with strong attention to detail
Analyze complex technical and security problems, quickly develop creative solutions, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Plan and manage a portfolio of identity and security projects, setting priorities, measurable objectives, and managing change
Collect and review business and technical requirements, ensuring clarity and setting expectations for requested services
Manage team activities and drive resolution of issues across all areas of a project
Manage communications, keeping team members, management, and stakeholders informed of status, risks, and issues
Anticipate and proactively manage risks, issues, and constraints throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate the activities of cross-functional contributors and drive alignment across teams
Establish processes and best practices for team members to ensure project goals are consistently met
Stay current on the latest security best practices, emerging threats, and vulnerabilities, and share this knowledge across the team and broader organization

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience managing technical projects or programs, including planning, execution, and delivery
Hands-on experience with information security practices in a large enterprise environment
Demonstrated experience with application design, integration, and deployment across a global IT environment
Experience managing cross-functional development cycles in a fast-paced enterprise setting
Proven ability to manage project constraints including time, cost, and quality

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience with Identity Management solutions, security implementations, and vulnerability management
Familiarity with Java, J2EE, or Oracle
Experience with Agile or Test Driven Development methodologies
Strong judgment with the ability to drive decisions, influence change, and resolve conflicts effectively
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,600 and $218,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
