The WW Commercial Planning & Landing team, within Planning, Landing, and Execution (PLE),  as part of the Customer and Commercial Success (C&CS) organization,  advances Microsoft’s growth and revenue ambitions through strategic planning, capability and community development, and AI-powered innovation. 

 

As the Talent Development Lead you will lead high-impact growth initiatives, such as a Talent Development Framework to provide an evidence-based way to coach behaviors that drives change and customer connection in this increasingly competitive market. The role is responsible for executing and maintaining a scalable tool with multi-level views to enable individual sellers or teams’ capabilities, strengths and gaps.

 

Candidates who live within 50 miles of Microsoft's Redmond campus will be required to work in the office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, guide, and manage the execution of talent management programs by identifying organizational talent needs, securing resources, communicating with stakeholders, and prioritizing work.
  • Drive programs by leveraging data to inform capability modeling and to address skilling gaps.
  • Execute and maintain a scalable tool with multi-level views to enable individual sellers or teams’ capabilities, strengths and gaps.
  • Build trust and buy-in by connecting talent development outcomes directly to Seller, Manager/Leader and customer impact.
  • Assist in building plans to integrate the Microsoft cultural attributes (e.g., diversity, inclusion), leadership principles, and other talent, learning, and organizational development frameworks into talent practices.
  • Elevate field insights and success stories to inform strategy, inspire sellers, and reinforce what “great” looks like at scale.
  • Manage Talent Management initiatives by interpreting business needs and leveraging best practices. Integrate solutions into other talent management processes and HR plans. 


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in creating and executing sales talent development and sales talent management programs.
  • 15+ years of experience in HR practices or program/project management.
  • 3+ years experience managing large-scale or complex projects/programs.
  • Experience using AI-powered insights and data visualization tools to evaluate workforce readiness, identify skilling opportunities, and support talent development decision-making across complex, matrixed organizations.


Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
