The Content & Events Production EHS team keeps Apple's people, crews, guests, and productions safe across content filming and live events — from Keynote filming and NPI launches to WWDC, campus celebrations, and global event activations. We embed safety into productions from the earliest planning stages so teams can create ambitious work with confidence.
We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and decisive EHS professional to join our team as an Events Safety Manager to lead EHS across Apple's content production and live events worldwide.

Description

As an Events Safety Manager, you will lead EHS regulatory compliance for content production and live events across multiple venues, regions, and productions, developing the policies, playbooks, and event safety management plans that keep every production safe. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations, oversee training and incident response readiness, and establish clear roles and standards across the team. You will work closely with production leadership, business units, vendors, and external agencies to integrate EHS early in planning and deliver safe, successful events and productions.

Responsibilities

Oversee EHS across a portfolio of productions, events, and venues from initiation to completion.
Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, playbooks, and event safety management plans covering risk assessment, crowd and event structure safety, production hazard identification, aerial/aviation and specialty activities, and life safety.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations, and manage contact with authorities, venues, and permitting agencies.
Develop and oversee EHS training and readiness for production teams, crews, and event staff, and coordinate incident response and reporting.
Ensure appropriate corrective action is taken where health and safety hazards exist.
Collaborate with production leadership and cross-functional partners to integrate EHS early in event and production planning.
Foster and maintain excellent relationships with business units, vendors, contractors, and internal partners.
Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function, and establish clear roles, ownership, and standards across the team.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of EHS experience, with a focus on live events, content production, or entertainment safety.
Working knowledge of federal, state, local, and international EHS regulations applicable to events and production environments.
Experience developing and implementing event safety management plans, risk assessments, and emergency response procedures.
Proven people leadership experience, including selecting, developing, and leading EHS teams, setting standards, and establishing clear roles and standards.
Demonstrated portfolio and resource management, including oversight of external vendors, cross-functional partners, and multiple concurrent events, venues, or productions in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, priorities, and people concurrently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
Professional certification such as ASP, CSP, or equivalent.
Direct experience supporting large-scale live events, broadcast/film production, or product launches.
Familiarity with specialty production activities such as aerial/aviation coordination, crowd management, and temporary event structures.
Strong, decisive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent planning, analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $186,200 and $280,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
