GenAI Engineering Lead - SVP

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced GenAI manager to lead a team of data scientists and engineers building Citi’s centralized GenAI testing and governance platform. As a manager, you would lead design and define the roadmap of your team, making sure the platform stays ahead of Citi’s GenAI evolving needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about AI and Generative AI, has an excellent track record in high scale engineering products and hands-on experience in developing AI and GenAI solutions whether in professional or personal projects. In this role, you’ll be a key player in driving innovative projects throughout the bank using AI and specifically generative AI.
 

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists and engineers, developing Citi’s GenAI testing and governance platform
• Lead research and development activities with the goal of finding innovative solutions with substantial impact potential for the business units across Citi
• Lead design and architecture for a broad range of AI infrastructure tools and technologies
• Work with internal and external partners to design, validate and deliver solutions with a commercial benefit for Citi
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and projects of varying sizes & complexity
• Engage with technical and business stakeholders to define and design overall architecture for key use-cases across our TTS, Markets, Securities Services and Banking Business Lines
• Partner with Citi’s AI Centre of Excellence to ensure best practice is followed from the perspectives of good governance, risk management, standardization, and tooling
   

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
• Strong experience in the software industry
• Proven managerial experience leading engineering and data science teams
• Proven experience as a tech lead or an architect of large-scale technology environments
• Hands-on experience working on GenAI projects, personal or professional (preferred) projects. Background in data science or working on data science centric projects is an advantage
• Strong and diverse technical background. Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies, influence highly skilled engineering teams and overall have a personal impact on technology decisions and vision
• Vast experience with cloud architectures
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership and organizational abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strategic thinker
• Experience in the financial industry – major advantage
