Citi Markets is a globally integrated platform delivering institutional sales, trading, and structuring capabilities across equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. Our operation is uniquely global. Our client list is remarkably varied. Our product range is incredibly broad. But we're not the finished article. We have big ambitions for the future and all the resources we need to reach them, including some of the smartest people in the industry. Our open, supportive culture empowers us to share clients, ideas, and success. There's no arrogance. No politics. There are leaders at every level looking for ways to work together, learn from each other and constantly improve. Because, in the long-term, that's not just the best way to do things, it's the only way to win.

As Vice President, Equity Derivatives Sales – FraBeLux, you will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing equity derivatives solutions across institutional and distribution clients in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. This is a revenue-generating, client-facing role at the intersection of quantitative finance, structured solutions, and strategic relationship management. You will leverage Citi's global platform, proprietary research, and best-in-class trading infrastructure to deliver innovative hedging, yield-enhancement, and investment strategies tailored to the unique regulatory and tax frameworks across the FraBeLux corridor. This role offers exceptional scope for high-impact collaboration, career mobility within a truly global Markets franchise, and direct influence on Citi's strategic positioning in continental Europe.

Primary Responsibilities of the Role

  • Originate and distribute equity derivatives solutions—including exotic options, variance/dispersion strategies, structured notes (autocalls, capital protection, Phoenix structures), and quantitative investment strategies (QIS)—to institutional clients such as asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, and family offices across France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
  • Execute flow and Delta One transactions, including ETF execution, custom basket swaps, synthetic prime financing, dividend swaps, and stock lending/borrowing solutions tailored to client mandates and risk profiles.
  • Collaborate closely with trading, structuring, quantitative research, legal, and XVA teams to price complex payoffs, manage structured product lifecycles, and ensure seamless transaction execution aligned with MiFID II/MiFIR, PRIIPs/KID, and local regulatory frameworks (AMF, CSSF, FSMA).
  • Generate proprietary content and trade ideas by translating Citi's macro equity research, quantitative analytics, and thematic insights into actionable client solutions that enhance portfolio returns or manage downside risk.
  • Manage the end-to-end product workflow: structure term sheets, coordinate legal documentation (ISDA/CSA, GMRA), oversee compliance reviews and KYC/AML procedures, and drive internal stakeholder alignment across credit, compliance, and operations.
  • Own regional revenue targets and client pipeline management for the FraBeLux book, while mentoring junior team members and fostering cross-desk collaboration to maximize franchise value and long-term client relationships.

What We Need from You

  • Front-office experience in Equity Derivatives Sales, Structuring, or Solutions within a Tier-1 global investment bank or major brokerage, with a proven track record of revenue generation and client origination.
  • Deep product expertise across flow volatility (index and single-stock options, variance swaps), structured products (autocallables, reverse convertibles, credit-linked/hybrid notes), Delta One (TRS, custom baskets, synthetic financing), and quantitative investment strategies.
  • Established and active client relationships across the FraBeLux region, including French institutional asset managers and insurers, Belgian private banks and wealth platforms, and Luxembourg-domiciled UCITS/AIFM funds.
  • Native or fluent proficiency in French and English (mandatory); working knowledge of Flemish/Dutch is considered a strong advantage for Belgian coverage.
  • Comprehensive understanding of European regulatory frameworks (MiFID II/MiFIR, PRIIPs/KID, EMIR) and local tax/wealth-management wrappers (e.g., French assurance-vie unit-linked structures, Belgian Reynders tax rules, Luxembourg fund vehicle constraints).
  • Master's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or a top-tier European Business/Engineering School (Grande École or equivalent). Proficiency in Python, Bloomberg, and analytical pricing libraries preferred.
