Summary:
As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure project milestones are met, facilitating discussions to address challenges, and guiding your team through the development process. You will also engage in strategic planning sessions to align project goals with organizational objectives, ensuring that the applications developed meet both user needs and technical specifications. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving among team members.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance applications
Design and implement microservices architecture using Node.js (with frameworks like Express.js or Nest JS) / Java (with Spring Boot)
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services across both Java and Node.js ecosystems
Design, develop, and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using REST APIs and event-driven architectures (e.g., SQS, Event Bridge), ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders for requirement analysis, estimation, and solution design
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers across backend (Java/Node.js) and frontend technologies
Drive code quality through code reviews, unit/integration testing, and adherence to secure coding standards
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions to enable efficient, reliable, and automated deployments
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of applications across distributed systems
Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and UI teams for seamless delivery
Contribute to architecture decisions, technology selection, and continuous improvement initiatives
Establish governance and quality controls for AI-generated code, including validation, security checks, and compliance with organizational coding standards

Professional & Technical Skills:
Minimum 9 years of hands-on experience demonstrating proficiency in the specified
Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, along with Java and Spring Boot
Hands-on experience with frameworks like Express.js / Nest JS and RESTful API development
Experience in microservices architecture, system design, and scalable distributed systems
Strong frontend development experience using React JS, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with focus on building responsive and scalable user interfaces
Strong knowledge of databases, including Amazon DynamoDB, with a focus on performance optimization and efficient data modeling
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services such as SQS, Event Bridge, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and CloudFront for building scalable, event-driven architectures
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions for automating build, test, and deployment processes
Exposure to AI-assisted development using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Amazon Bedrock, and prompt engineering


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 9 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
