Project Role : AI / ML Engineer
Project Role Description : Develops applications and systems that utilize AI tools, Cloud AI services, with proper cloud or on-prem application pipeline with production ready quality. Be able to apply GenAI models as part of the solution. Could also include but not limited to deep learning, neural networks, chatbots, image processing.

Summary:
These roles have many overlapping skills with GENAI Engineers and architects. Description may scaleup/scale down based on expected seniority.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and scale distributed systems that handle long-running tasks across thousands of claims in parallel.
- Build modular Python APIs and services that interface with external APIs, vector stores, and LLM APIs.
- Use AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch) to build event-driven microservices.
- Ensure robust error handling, retry logic, and idempotency in execution paths.
- Collaborate with the orchestration lead and AI team to support prompt execution, state management, memory & checkpointing and policy-driven routing.
- Build for observability: logging, tracing, and metrics collection in a serverless/cloud-native setup.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- 5+ years Python development experience, in backend or systems engineering roles.
- Deep understanding of asyncio, async/await, event loops, and cooperative multitasking in Python.
- Strong grasp of OOP principles, design patterns, and code modularity (factories, dependency injection, etc.).
- Solid experience with distributed system design, including:
- Task partitioning
- Stateless vs stateful service patterns
- Concurrency vs parallelism
- Queue-based orchestration (e.g., using AWS SQS, Step Functions)
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON serialization, and building fault-tolerant cloud services.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and IAM.
- Skilled in CI/CD pipelines, logging (e.g., CloudWatch), and debugging in production-like environments.

Additional Information:
-Must have a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. A Ph.D. is highly desirable.
-strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
-You possess a proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
