Summary:
The SDx Integration Consultant is a senior technical leader responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-grade integrations between SDx and client enterprise systems. The role ensures seamless data exchange across engineering, maintenance, planning, and operational platforms to establish SDx as a Single Source of Truth supporting Digital Twin and Operational Excellence initiatives.
The consultant leads full lifecycle integration activities - including analysis, solution architecture, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare - while ensuring system stability, data integrity, and alignment with enterprise IT standards

Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end integration activities (analysis, design, build, SIT, UAT support, deployment) for SDx application integrations.
Architect and implement integrations between SDx and enterprise applications such as:
o SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM)
o Primavera P6
o Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
o Operator Shift Log systems
o Seeq analytics platform
Prepare and review Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for integration use cases.
Configure SDx APIs, OData services, and web services for bi-directional data exchange.
Design advanced schema modeling and mapping including Authoring/Published Schema, Graph/View Definitions, Adapter Tool Maps, and integration schema merging.
Lead SDV mappings and publish/retrieve mapping for integrated engineering tools.
Ensure synchronization of tag, document, and asset master data across integrated systems.
Monitor integration jobs, publish queues, middleware logs, and resolve mapping/schema errors.
Support SAP-PM and Primavera data alignment for maintenance, scheduling, and asset hierarchy synchronization.
Enable operational handover by transforming project data into asset information for Operations & Maintenance.
Define integration architecture using REST/SOAP APIs, messaging queues, middleware, and event-driven patterns.
Lead cloud migration and hybrid integration strategies for SDx environments (on-prem to Azure/AWS).
Provide governance for DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and environment promotion (Dev/Test/Prod).
Mentor junior consultants and coordinate with client IT, enterprise architects, and third-party vendors.

Professional & Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) and SDx integration architecture.
Strong expertise in REST/SOAP APIs, OData services, and middleware-based integration.
Advanced experience in Microsoft Azure (PaaS, Serverless, APIM, Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps).
Containerization and orchestration experience: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Service Fabric.
Strong background in Microservices, SOA, EDA, and modular multi-tier architectures.
Backend development expertise: .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, Node.js.
Frontend exposure: Angular, React, Next.js (preferred for integration dashboards/portals).
Database expertise: SQL Server (T-SQL), Azure SQL MI/Elastic Pool, PostgreSQL, MySQL, CosmosDB.
Experience with DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub, TFS CI/CD pipeline configuration.
Experience in bulk data migration, master data harmonization, and real-time/batch data exchange.
Strong troubleshooting skills for integration failures, schema conflicts, and data inconsistencies.
Proven experience integrating SDx/SPF with SAP-PM, Primavera P6, and enterprise systems.
Experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, Power, Utilities, or Process industry projects.
Experience in Azure cloud migration, modernization of legacy systems, and container-based deployments.
