Responsibilities
  • Drive technical NPI workstreams for network and AI infrastructure from early development builds through production readiness, deployment, and sustaining handoff.
  • Establish and manage program milestones, dependencies, readiness criteria, risks, owners, decisions, and recovery actions.
  • Coordinate hardware engineering, DFX, supplier, material, manufacturing, quality, system-integration, and deployment-readiness activities.
  • Partner with engineering teams to translate product requirements and build learnings into executable manufacturing and operational-readiness plans.
  • Use build, quality, supplier, and program data to identify risks, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead readiness reviews and ensure issues discovered during development builds are resolved or appropriately mitigated before production ramp and deployment.
  • Frame options, trade-offs, and recommendations when technical, supplier, quality, or operational constraints threaten launch objectives.
  • Communicate decisions, risks, recovery plans, and program progress clearly to technical teams, business partners, and senior leaders.
  • Develop repeatable processes, readiness criteria, and documentation that improve future product launches and transitions into sustaining operations.
  • Build trusted cross-functional relationships and influence execution across teams without direct authority.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 4+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.

  • Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hardware NPI, product engineering, DFX, manufacturing engineering, product development, or technical product launches.
  • Experience supporting development builds, engineering validation, manufacturing readiness, supplier readiness, production ramp, or sustaining transitions.
  • Experience independently owning technical workstreams, deliverables, risks, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience coordinating across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, quality, supply chain, operations, or deployment teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical and operational data, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
  • Experience improving product designs, manufacturing processes, test methods, quality, reliability, or operational readiness.
  • Ability to learn complex infrastructure products and translate technical details into clear execution plans.
  • Ability to influence across organizational boundaries, resolve ambiguity, and communicate effectively with technical teams and leaders.
  • Experience with cloud, datacenter, networking, rack-level hardware, or AI infrastructure is beneficial but not required.


NPI Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
