We are seeking Integration Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Integration Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
What You’ll Do:
Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
Continuously improve software engineering practices
Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies
Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions
Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
Design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions that connect diverse enterprise applications, including core business platforms like Salesforce CRM and Google Cloud services (GCP)
Lead the design and implementation of complex, enterprise-scale integrations across multiple systems, data sources, and platforms
Serve as the technical integration lead for major initiatives, partnering with software, data and infrastructure teams to ensure interoperability and performance
Define integration standards, patterns, and best practices that guide implementation across teams
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 4 years of experience designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations
At least 3 years of experience automating system configuration or data workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working in a cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
3+ years of experience developing or supporting API-based integrations using scripting or orchestration tools (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, MuleSoft)
5+ years of experience with deployment tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory)
4+ years of experience in Agile practices
Experience managing identity and access within systems
5+ years of experience implementing large-scale integration solutions or data pipelines in cloud environments
Experience developing integration frameworks or reusable components used across multiple teams or applications
Experience collaborating with enterprise architects to define integration reference architectures
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog) to ensure integration reliability and performance

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Integration Engineer 4
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
