Citi is looking for Apprentices to join our Finance Team. Here at Citi, the Apprenticeship Program is intended to help you build a broad skill set and accelerate your career growth by gaining exposure to numerous day-to-day activities. 

Your time here will look something like this...

The Apprenticeship Program begins with a short induction, providing apprentices with an overview of Citi, a technology training session, and an introduction to Citi's divisions. As an apprentice you will gain hands on work experience with deliverables and will be expected to add value to their teams during the 12 months apprenticeship duration.

 

We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.

The Apprenticeship Program is a 12-months opportunity in India. The Program will provide Apprentices with on-the-job-training supporting one of Citi's Business Groups.

 

About Controllers

The Controllers organization plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of Citi's financial books and records and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and transparency of financial and regulatory reporting. Controllers partner closely with businesses, Treasury, Risk, Operations, Technology, and other Finance teams to provide trusted financial information that supports decision-making, regulatory compliance, and responsible business growth. The organization is responsible for areas such as financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, controls, governance, regulatory reporting, and finance transformation initiatives. Through a strong focus on accountability, data quality, and operational excellence, Controllers helps maintain a robust control environment and supports the safety and soundness of the firm.

About Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

FP&A serves as Citi’s trusted business advisor, providing advanced forward-looking analytics that support complex business decisions across the firm. Our mission is to deliver insight, transparency, and strategic financial guidance that enables leadership to anticipate outcomes, optimize resource allocation, and drive long-term performance.

As a business advisory group, FP&A produces and leverages forward-looking trends, tools, and analytics to assess business performance and support management and Finance CFO teams in strategic decision making. The organization delivers this mandate through several core processes, including CCAR, Quarterly Multiyear Multisceanrio Forecast (QMMF), Quarterly Outlook, Weekly Financial Update, Quarterly CEO reviews etc.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Good understanding of Corporate Finance and Accounting
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights – especially from looking at Firm’s Financials
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work across diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Curiosity, learning agility, and a willingness to develop knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and regulatory processes.
• Demonstrated accountability, professionalism, and a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and embrace change.
• Interest in process improvement, data management, automation, and transformation initiatives.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, integrity, and control.
