What would you do? • We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Cash Application Team Lead to lead a team responsible for the accurate and timely application of customer payments, bank reconciliations, and cash management activities. • The role requires strong people leadership, operational excellence, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement capabilities to ensure achievement of service levels, quality targets, and compliance requirements. • The role requires strong people leadership, operational excellence, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement capabilities to ensure achievement of service levels, quality targets, and compliance requirements.
What are we looking for? • • Eperience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, or Order-to-Cash operations. • • Team handling or supervisory experience. • • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or SAP S, 4HANA. • • Strong knowledge of Cash Application, Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, and O2C processes. • • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Cash Application Operations • • Oversee daily cash application activities, ensuring accurate and timely posting of customer payments. • • Manage allocation of receipts received through ACH, wire transfers, lockbox, checks, and other payment methods. • • Review and resolve unapplied, unidentified, and misapplied cash items within agreed SLAs. • • Ensure completion of customer account reconciliations and timely clearance of open items. • • Monitor bank reconciliations, clearing accounts, write-offs, refunds, and on-account transactions. • • Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and audit requirements. • Team Leadership & People Management • • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Cash Application Analysts. • • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and career development discussions. • • Monitor productivity, quality, and SLA performance of the team. • • Manage workload distribution, capacity planning, and resource utilization. • • Drive employee engagement and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. • Stakeholder Management • • Partner with Collections, Billing, Treasury, Customer Service, Credit, and Master Data teams to resolve payment-related issues. • • Serve as the escalation point for complex cash application and reconciliation concerns. • • Collaborate with customers and banking partners to obtain remittance details and resolve discrepancies. • • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Reporting & Governance • • Track and report KPIs such as cash application accuracy, unapplied cash aging, productivity, and SLA compliance. • • Perform root-cause analysis on recurring issues and implement corrective actions. • • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. • • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, audit requirements, and company policies.
