As a Lab Assistant, you will assist with with inventory management, orders and store lab supplies. Works with various teams to assist in the maintenance of laboratory systems, and assists with receiving, storing and discarding specimens. You will work with various teams and assist with the maintenance of laboratory systems and resources. Additionally, you will assist with preparation of laboratory reagents and solutions and aliquoting of specimens.

What You'll Do:

  • Inventories management (including inventory counts), orders and store lab supplies, maintains accurate inventory levels for all products located in lab. 

  • Ensures proper documentation is completed upon processing all inventory transactions, enters data into Mosaic. 

  • Maintains close communication with vendors when necessary.

  • Work with various teams to assist in the maintenance of laboratory systems and resources and assist aliquoting of specimens.

  • Assists with receiving, storing and discarding specimens.

  • Composes, copies, and distributes correspondence, reports, documents, forms, and tables as requested.

  • Collects, compiles, and prepares reports and other documents; establishes, organizes, and maintains files. 

  • Trains new staff in the Inventory systems and oversees request access to all new staff as needed.


Requirements:

  • Diploma in Science or equivalent. No experience required.

  • Higher Nitec in Science with > 1 year experience working in Lab.

  • Able to commit to work schedule of Tuesday-Saturday, 9am to 6pm.

  • Able to commit to rotating Public Holiday duties.
