MicroStrategy Developer- Assistant Vice President

We are looking for an experienced MicroStrategy developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in desiging,developing,maintaining and deploying enterprise reporting solutions using MicroStrategy platform.

The ideal candidate will posses a strong expertise in MicroStrategy development,dashboards,documents,metrics,filters,prompts,attributes,hierarchies,dossiers,vislauizations,object manager, object migration ,deployment and performance optimization using VLDB settings.

The role requires ability to understand business requirments,translate them into effective MicroStrategy solutions and work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams in an enterprise environment.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of hands on experience on MicroStrategy Desktop application version 11 and above.
• Handson experience on MicroStrategy Object Manager.

• Exposure to Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design ,develop and maintain enterprise level MicroStrategy reports,dashboards,dossiers and documents.
• Develop complex metrics,filters,prompts,attributes ,hierarchies, consolidations and custom groups.
• Build interactive dashboards using selectors, panel stacks,grids,graphs,visualizations and other MicroStrategy components.
• Develop reusable MicroStrategy objects following established development standards.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable MSTR reporting solutions.
• Work with business users and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide effective solutions using client wireframes.
• Perform MicroStrategy report,document,dashboard, and cache performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot reporting, existing dashboards,caching,visualization and object related issues.
• Work with Intelligent cubes,caches,derived metrics, transformation and Advance MSTR functionalities.
• Perform object migration and deployment activities across QA/UAT,PTE environment using MicroStrategy Object Manager.
• Use Object Manager to migrate reports.documents,metrics,filters,prompts,attributes,dossiers and other MicroStrategy objects.
• Analyze object dependencies before migration and ensure that all required dependent objects are included in migration package.
• Perform Object comparison, validation and conflict resolution during migration activities.
• Maintain appropriate migration and deployment documentation.
• Participate in release activities, deployment validation and post production verification.

Role expectations:

The candidate should be capable of

• Independently owning MicroStrategy development activities from requirements analysis through development,testing,migration,deployment and production support.
• Participate in reviews and ensure adherence to MSTR development standards.
• Support production issues and perform root cause analysis for reporting and dashboard problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during applications enhancements, releases ,testing and prod deployments.
• Prepare tech Documents and provide knowledge transfer to development and support teams.
• Mentor junior MicroStrategy developers and review their work.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment using JIRA for requirement, development, testing and defect tracking.
