Role Summary
The Health Clinical Services Senior Analyst conducts utilization management and medical management reviews of service requests using client-specific criteria, medical policies, and clinical guidelines. The role collaborates with providers, clinical reviewers, and U.S.-licensed medical directors to support medically necessary, quality healthcare in cost-effective settings and facilitate member care transitions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct pre-service, concurrent, retrospective, out-of-network, and appropriateness-of-treatment-setting utilization management reviews.
- Review service requests for compliance with applicable criteria, medical policy, member eligibility, benefits, and contracts.
- Use client-specific criteria sets, medical policies, and clinical guidelines to approve cases or route them for further review.
- Route cases that do not meet medical necessity, place-of-service, or benefit criteria to client medical staff.
- Consult with clinical reviewers and U.S.-licensed medical directors during the medical management process.
- Collaborate with providers to assess member needs, support proactive discharge planning, and facilitate care transitions.
