DESCRIPTION:
Join our transportation team at Thermo Fisher Scientific where you'll contribute to optimizing our global logistics operations. As a Transportation Analyst III, you'll be responsible for managing transportation networks, ensuring efficient delivery of equipment and materials while maintaining high service levels. This role combines analytical thinking with practical application to support continuous improvement in our transportation operations, focusing on cost optimization, service quality, and process enhancement. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement transportation solutions that support our company's mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in transportation/logistics management, preferably with shipper, carrier, or consulting firms
• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business Logistics, Economics, Management Information Systems, or related business field
• Professional certifications in logistics/supply chain management preferred
• Experience in transportation sourcing, contract negotiations, and carrier relationship management
• Technical proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools
• Experience managing transportation networks across domestic and international markets
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights
• Project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
• Experience in freight cost analysis, benchmarking, and optimization strategies
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining performance metrics and scorecards
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Written and verbal communication skills in English
• Additional languages highly valuable
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with changing priorities
• Experience in specialized delivery services and equipment transportation preferred
• Interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate at all organizational levels
