Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Prototype bring‐up, debugging, functional verification, and electrical characterization. Manage engineering builds by partnering with and driving communications among cross‐functional teams to solve new product development challenges. Define, recommend, and implement component level reworks in partnership with internal engineering teams. Develop and implement automated PCBA and system level processes to increase yields and throughput. Support system and board level debug, reworking, assembly and reworks on prototype hardware. Track, report, and identify quality issues and/or failure trends. Work closely with technicians and engineers to ensure the prompt and accurate completion of work. 40 hours/week.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Defining, recommending and implementing component level reworks within major PCBs in consumer electronics products in partnership with internal engineering teams for product development supporting mass production using electrical engineering principles.
Developing layout strategies for PCB, Rigid PCB, Flex, and Rigid-Flex including material selection, stack-up planning
Utilizing subject matter expert knowledge of SMT process including BGA and fine pitch soldering rework process.
Developing and implementing automated PCBA and system level processes to increase rework & build yields and throughput.
Designing for EMI minimization, signal integrity, noise suppression
Designing for manufacturing/DFM and designing for reliability experience
Utilizing supporting system level troubleshooting & debugging from chip level to system level.
Utilizing experience with tracking issues, reporting trends, and identifying quality issues and developing corrective actions.
