Title and Summary
Director of Product Commercialization, Open FinanceOverviewMastercard is at the forefront of using open finance to build a more connected and inclusive financial ecosystem. Our Open Finance team drives innovation, enhances customer experiences, and enables secure, seamless access to financial data and services.
We believe open finance has the potential to empower consumers and businesses alike. By fostering collaboration among financial institutions, fintechs, and other stakeholders, we unlock new opportunities for growth and financial inclusion — delivering the transparency, security, and control users need to manage their financial data with confidence. As part of the team, you will work on cutting-edge products, collaborate with industry leaders, and make a meaningful impact on the financial landscape.
Role
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Product Commercialization to join our Open Finance product management team. You will own the commercialization, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, and execution for two products across the Americas:
• BIN Lookup — A daily-updated API that delivers current, accurate Bank Identification Number (BIN) account-range data to power authorization routing, fraud prevention, and other novel solutions across the payments ecosystem.
• Transaction Notifications — A cardholder-consented API that delivers near real-time purchase data, enabling partners to build just-in-time experiences such as expense automation, activation campaigns, personalized rewards, and AI-driven insights.
This is a broad, high-ownership role. Beyond these two products, you will take on additional strategic, operational, and analytical responsibilities — including emerging Open Finance and adjacent services — that support the growth of the business across the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and document a comprehensive GTM and commercialization strategy for BIN Lookup, Transaction Notifications, and other emerging Open Finance and adjacent services — including key distribution channels, customer segments, and top target customers in each segment and market.
• Identify, evaluate, and execute bundling and commercialization synergies across other Open Finance products and Mastercard Services.
• Develop pricing strategies for each solution and for bundled offers, secure approvals from internal stakeholders, and coordinate implementation with the relevant teams.
• Build financial models for addressable market size, revenue potential, and business cases across products and initiatives.
• Design and produce clear, compelling foundational sales materials and sales enablement tools.
• Deliver product training for the Open Finance Sales teams, CSMs, and Account Managers.
• Partner with Marketing and Communications on launch announcements and campaigns that build customer awareness and demand.
• Partner with Mastercard consulting practice leads to design value-added services that complement each solution.
• Test value propositions, desirability, and feasibility with customers; gather and analyze feedback to validate assumptions and refine product design with each solution’s product leads.
• Engage external stakeholders to ensure our solutions meet market needs, and channel product-requirement feedback from sales teams and customers to product leads to inform feature prioritization and continuous improvement.
• Support customer conversations and sales engagements post-launch as needed.
• Work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to execute the GTM plan.
• Support a variety of strategic projects and provide operational and analytical support for product and commercialization initiatives across the Americas.
