Creative Garage (CG) is the central creative team supporting the portfolio of global transportation products. The team focuses on building brand awareness, recognition, acquisition and engagement with global transportation brands through the human stories behind logistics. The team builds and owns the global brands and the creative expression of these brands throughout the customer journey. We work closely with global marketing and customer insights partners to test and learn creative, ensuring our design solutions resonate with the target audience. We have high standards and strive to continuously raise the bar across all creative elements.
The Creative Program Manager will own the day-to-day execution and project management of the most strategic creative projects supporting high-profile, high-impact business initiatives. They will have a solid understanding of creative workflows and the interdependencies that pertain to the studio's program area, with an ability to evaluate and document scalable mechanisms to increase efficiency and frugality. They are a key partner to the Creative Garage team and clients, responsible for building effective working relationships and ensuring the right people are part of the conversation. They drive cross-functional alignment across business partners and external agencies, working independently while seeking guidance as needed. They demonstrate strong ownership and bias for action, sound problem solving, and maintain clear and concise communication across stakeholders. They will develop a strong knowledge of Amazon and Amazon Transportation products. They are nimble and agile—able to flex across project management, resource coordination, and program reporting.
This role partners with the manager and other teams to deliver complex, cross-functional creative projects aligned with team goals. They focus on the larger business picture—customer experience, processes, opportunities—and take the time to understand relevant business requirements. They proactively mitigate risks, manage schedules, keep scope under control, and help teams make trade-offs by considering the broader context (e.g., customer experience, financial goals, brand, compliance, workflow dependencies, quality, efficiency). They are comfortable operating in ambiguity and productively challenge assumptions to drive the right outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
* Triage and traffic all new creative requests submitted to the studio, quickly assessing information gaps and identifying owners and next steps.
* Project manage creative development projects end-to-end (from concept to production) across various mediums (such as video, digital, social, OOH, direct mail, events, sales collateral), ensuring projects are delivered on-time and within budget.
* Build and manage workback schedules, with a deep understanding of dependencies from both marketing and creative playbooks. Meet timelines and minimize disruption to partner teams, especially during peak efforts. Include buffer time, plan for the unexpected, and ensure dependencies are not broken by changes.
* Hold Creative Garage team members and business partners accountable to project timelines, ensuring work is completed on time and on budget.
* Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Kaizen, CIP) to continuously improve team productivity and throughput.
* Identify and document tool and process innovations that systematically improve studio efficiency, output, and overall quality of the work.
* Build relationships with client partners and peers. Educate business partners on studio process and SLAs, understand their pain points and objectives, and consult on potential solutions.
* Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. Escalate appropriately when issues exceed scope.
* Present studio work and updates to stakeholders and cross-functional partners, including management.
* Build trust, respect, and credibility with stakeholders and team members.
* Employ sound critical thinking and problem-solving approaches; come to the table with solutions.
* Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortems, issue/ticket management) and look for opportunities to improve system quality and operational excellence.
* Promote a sense of transparency, visibility, and community among the team.
