Job Description:

The Performance Reporting team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Retail, Institutional and managed clients’ rate of returns data before being published on fid.com.

 

The Expertise we’re looking for

 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related discipline.
  • 0-2 years’ experience, preferably within financial services and/or a shared service model.
  • Experience with Performance measurement analysis or brokerage/US Operations is an advantage.

 

The Purpose of Your Role

 

The primary focus is to investigate and address exceptions handling (performance outliers) on a daily and monthly basis.  In addition, from a remediation perspective, identify, investigate, and remediate breaks, data quality issues, and other issues identified by downstream consumers.

  • Your attention to detail and ability to quickly organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Your ability to take initiative and to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic team environment.
  • Be analytical and possess good problem-solving skills.
  • Be technically oriented, with strong MS Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL basics would be an added advantage.
  • Your excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be motivated and show a desire to learn about business and new technologies.

  • By ensuring that Fidelity customers’ account and portfolio level returns are accurate, you provide a valuable service to our customers and help to maintain the firm’s reputation for quality
  • Researching and resolving daily exceptions generated from the Rate of Return calculation engine
  • Validating outliers through data analysis by understanding cash flows, interest, accruals, and market values in the performance measurement process
  • Developing your knowledge of financial products, corporate actions and market trends to understand how these impact rate of return calculations
  • Maintaining operational and written supervisory procedures in accordance with divisional standards
  • Participating in various projects and process improvement initiatives focused on improving the existing workflow, quality and efficiency in the process
