Original posting provided by amazon
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to help bring next-generation network hardware to hundreds of AWS data centers worldwide. In this role, you will drive programs across partner teams to strategically plan, develop, and execute the deployment of new hardware technologies into the AWS Network at massive scale. You will work directly with Networking and Infrastructure leadership to define requirements, shape timelines, and drive alignment across organizations. A critical part of this role is the ability to take technically complex problems and distill them into clear, business-level narratives that enable leaders to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is proactive in communicating progress and risks, and brings strong stakeholder management instincts, knowing how to build trust, navigate ambiguity, and keep cross-functional teams moving in the same direction even as priorities evolve.
Key job responsibilities
* Drive end-to-end program execution for new network hardware deployments across AWS data centers globally.
* Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvements and automated solutions.
* Work with stakeholders (networking engineers, technical program managers, senior management, design engineers, operational deployment teams) to define requirements, shape timelines, and establish deployment processes.
* Translate technically complex problems into clear, business-level narratives that enable leaders to make informed decisions.
* Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and negotiate trade-offs as needed.
* Provide regular program progress reporting, proactively communicating risks and milestone status to leadership.
* Manage multiple competing programs simultaneously in a fast-paced, agile environment.
* Build trust and drive alignment across cross-functional teams, even as priorities evolve.
* Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
* Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role.
