Visa’s Sophomore Internship Program offers a 12-week immersive experience where you’ll work on impactful projects that advance Visa’s mission. As a Sophomore intern program Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute to Visa's technology teams by taking on meaningful work aligned with your passions and career goals.
Some job duties and projects could include:
- Self-serve deployment of Kafka clusters using Docker and Kubernetes
- Developing a natural language Chatbot for knowledge base searches
- Prototyping solutions for automated payments at gas stations
- Automating processes using low latency algorithms
- Enhancing Visa Checkout usability across platforms
- Creating testing tools to identify system errors
- Building visual monitoring tools to detect transactional issues
- Designing, coding, and testing software solutions for routing digital currency transactions
- Developing an app factory for mobile banking apps
- Supporting full software lifecycle activities and learning secure coding practices

Additional Information
U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $39 to $46 which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
