Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead the definition, design, deployment, and documentation of secure, scalable, and resilient technical environments, with a primary focus on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops. The role will evaluate architecture options, establish technical standards, define governance and testing criteria, and ensure that solutions align with business objectives, operational requirements, security controls, and cost considerations. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, guide delivery teams, and influence key technical decisions across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the architecture, design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
Develop solution architectures, architectural standards, design documents, implementation patterns, and operational procedures.
Assess alternative architectures and recommend solutions based on scalability, resilience, security, performance, supportability, and total cost of ownership.
Define architecture governance, conformance processes, solution-testing criteria, and acceptance standards.
Design high-availability and disaster-recovery capabilities for business-critical virtual application and desktop services.
Collaborate with cloud, network, security, workplace, application, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end solution integration.
Provide technical leadership, make team-level decisions, and contribute to key decisions across multiple teams.
Serve as the escalation point for complex architecture, performance, availability, and security issues.
Facilitate knowledge sharing, coach team members, and mentor technical leads to strengthen delivery capability.
Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and automation opportunities that improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
Communicate architectural direction, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical and business stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops architecture, design, implementation, and optimization.
Strong understanding of virtualization, cloud computing, hybrid infrastructure, and enterprise application delivery.
Experience with core Citrix components and supporting technologies, including StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, Citrix Director, Machine Creation Services or Provisioning Services, Citrix Workspace, and Citrix ADC.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, identity and access management, and profile management.
Strong knowledge of network architecture, load balancing, connectivity, certificates, and infrastructure security best practices.
Ability to design scalable, highly available, resilient, and recoverable infrastructure solutions.
Experience in capacity planning, performance monitoring, root-cause analysis, upgrades, patching, and platform lifecycle management.
Familiarity with automation and scripting, such as PowerShell, to streamline deployment and operational activities.
Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams, high-level and low-level designs, standards, and operating documentation.
Preferred Skills
Experience integrating Citrix solutions with public cloud platforms and hybrid environments.
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, endpoint security, monitoring, and IT service management practices.
Relevant Citrix, cloud, Microsoft, virtualization, security, or IT service management certifications.
Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site, or global enterprise environments.

Experience and Education:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops architecture.
15 years of full-time education.
Role is based in Bengaluru.
