About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As a Marketing Events Manager, International at Anthropic, you will own the execution of events across our international markets that drive pipeline, deepen customer relationships, and build Anthropic's brand and share of mind in markets where we're growing fast. You'll deliver a portfolio ranging from global flagship programs adapted for local markets to brand activations, executive dinners, roundtables, customer summits, and third-party events.
This role sits on the Marketing Events Team, reports to the Head of International Events, and partners closely with International Sales, regional Field Marketing, Communications, Policy, Product Marketing, and Creative. You'll bring hands-on operational excellence and a strong eye for brand storytelling, turning plans into experiences that resonate with diverse audiences, from developers to enterprise executives to policymakers. As part of a small team building Anthropic's international events program, you'll help create the systems, processes, and playbooks that let it scale across regions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute international events that deliver on brand objectives, regional sales priorities, and pipeline targets, while contributing to strategy that supports overall company goals
- Plan and manage a diverse, multi-country portfolio spanning hosted flagship events, brand activations, industry conferences, and cultural moments
- Adapt global event programs for international markets, working with the Marketing Events team so programs stay aligned with company-wide strategy while meeting local market needs
- Work with Creative on event identities, spatial design, and experiential elements that bring Anthropic's brand to life, ensuring our presence is compelling and consistent across all touchpoints
- Oversee event budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations, ensuring strong ROI across the portfolio
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Policy, and Communications to align event messaging and maximize the impact of Anthropic's presence at industry moments
- Build and maintain operational frameworks that keep quality and brand consistency high across regions: speaker and staff briefings, Know Before You Go documentation, and post-event reporting
- Provide on-site leadership and logistics management, serving as the primary point of contact for all event operations during live experiences
- Identify opportunities to innovate on event formats and experiences that differentiate Anthropic in the AI landscape
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have 8+ years of B2B event marketing and management experience, including brand-owned, technical, or innovation-focused events across EMEA and/or APAC, at a high-growth technology company
- Have a proven track record of executing multi-country event programs that deliver brand impact, and measurable pipeline and revenue results
- Have a strong portfolio of events, including brand events, that turn a company's values and positioning into memorable, on-brand experiences
- Have experience activating at premium third-party events, including hospitality at high-end venues, sporting events, and cultural experiences
- Are highly organized, with exceptional project management skills and the ability to run multiple complex events at once, often in different markets
- Are a collaborative partner who builds strong relationships across International Sales, Marketing, and executive stakeholders
- Have strong budget and vendor management experience, including local suppliers and multiple currencies
- Have the cultural awareness and judgement to adapt events for different markets
- Can operate in a fast-paced environment and maintain calm and effective leadership in high-pressure situations
- Have strong data analysis skills to measure and report on event success metrics
- Are comfortable with regular travel across EMEA and APAC (approximately 30%)
Strong candidates may also:
- Have experience with event technology platforms and meeting scheduling tools (e.g., Splash, Cvent, or similar)
- Have worked closely with enterprise sales teams and understand the enterprise buying cycle
- Have worked with creative teams and agencies on event identities, spatial design, and experiential elements
- Have managed or mentored other team members
- Have a genuine interest in AI technology and care about ensuring that transformative AI systems are developed safely

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
