Sanofi Business Services (SBS), one of the 4 pillars of Sanofi’s Business Transformation organization, is setting up a captive Business Services center in Budapest to provide Finance & Accounting (Account-to-Report, Customer-Invoicing-to-Cash) as well as Employee oriented (Employee Experience) services. With respect to Account to Report (A2R) the Business Services center will be covering the following areas of the process:
Assets Management
Tax Accounting
Intercompany Accounting

We are seeking a dynamic and accountable professional to join our A2R Fixed Assets team. This role goes beyond transactional processing and requires strong ownership, leadership, and strategic thinking to manage the fixed assets lifecycle and contribute to broader finance transformation initiatives.
Own and manage the end-to-end fixed assets accounting process in SAP. Ensure accurate asset capitalization, transfers, disposals, and depreciation Run. Monitor and process monthly depreciation runs. Reconcile fixed assets sub-ledger with general ledger. Lead and support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting. Contribute to transition planning, knowledge sharing, and backup resource training. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency using tools like SAP and Blackline.
About you
Experience: 5-8 years of experience in fixed assets accounting or general ledger.
Technical skills: Proficiency in SAP (especially Asset Accounting module). Strong Excel skills: experience with Blackline is a plus. Good understanding of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently, take ownership, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
Compliance & Controls: Maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX, and accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP). Provide insights and support for audits and Maintain documentation and support internal/external audits.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA, MCom CA(IPCC), CMA(Inter).
Ownership & Strategic Contribution: Take full ownership of assigned entities and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Act as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams (Controlling, Projects, Procurement) to ensure alignment and data consistency. Identify and drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization across entities. Support transition planning, onboarding, and training of new or backup resources.
Leadership Responsibilities: Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning. Support transition planning, cross-training, and succession readiness within the team. Monitor KPIs and contribute to performance reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
Languages: Excellent communication in English.
Working Hours: Be responsible for the period-end closing and reporting in accordance with Sanofi month end close schedule. The associate may need to work in different working hours during the month-end closing period for 5-7 days, depending on the region they support.
