Key Responsibilities

Project Financial Management

  • Partner with project teams to develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Analyze project actuals, commitments, accruals, and forecast variances.
  • Identify financial risks, gaps, and corrective actions to ensure projects remain within approved budgets.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and forecasting activities.
  • Track project spend against approved funding and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and analysis for project and portfolio stakeholders.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and explain key financial trends.
  • Maintain financial data integrity within ERP and Project Portfolio Management systems.
  • Support leadership reporting through development of accurate and timely financial insights.
  • Assist in financial modeling and scenario analysis activities.

  

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Project Financial Management standards, processes, and controls.
  • Support project audits, financial reviews, and governance activities.
  • Maintain project financial documentation and supporting records.
  • Assist with project capitalization, procurement, and financial compliance activities.
  • Drive issue identification and resolution for project financial concerns.

Procurement & Vendor Financial Support

  • Coordinate creation and maintenance of Purchase Orders.
  • Monitor vendor spending and financial commitments.
  • Support invoice reconciliation and financial tracking activities.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance teams to ensure timely processing of project expenditures.

AI, Analytics & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and financial management activities.
  • Leverage Generative AI tools to improve reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and documentation quality.
  • Develop AI-assisted dashboards and insights to improve project financial transparency.
  • Utilize automation platforms such as Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or similar tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support implementation of AI and automation initiatives across project financial processes.

Process Improvement

  • Document project financial processes and recommend enhancements.
  • Implement best practices that improve financial governance, reporting consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on financial operations and project delivery excellence.
  • Support optimization of ServiceNow PPM and financial management workflows.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner effectively with project managers, PMOs, Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide guidance and support on project financial processes and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project governance activities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in Project Financial Management, Financial Analysis, PMO Operations, or related disciplines.
