Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role is based in either Mountain View, San Francisco, New York or Chicago.

The Transformation Management Office (TMO) is the strategic portfolio and execution function for LinkedIn's Global Talent Organization (GTO). Focused on GTO's largest transformational work, the TMO is a problem-solving engine that strategizes, prototypes, and scales new ways of working with GTO teams — building talent solutions that are used and useful. The team scopes, prioritizes, governs, and delivers enterprise-wide people initiatives that enable business strategy and drive real organizational outcomes.

As connective tissue across HR teams and functions, the TMO keeps investments aligned, sequenced, and well executed. This role supports multiple concurrent talent initiatives of varying size, scale and complexity, partnering with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

LinkedIn is seeking a detail-oriented Specialist for the GTO's Transformation Management Office to drive tactical execution and tracking of defined project tracks within our larger transformation initiatives. This role sits at the heart of delivery — making sure the work moves visibly, stays transparent, and lands with high quality.

The ideal candidate owns defined tasks and workstreams within a broader TMO project, executing against clear guidelines with regular check-ins. They keep status reporting honest, data accurate, and deliverables on time. They bring hands-on knowledge of core TMO capabilities (project, change, and process frameworks), resolve straightforward project challenges, and actively advocate for the work's progress with team members and stakeholders. It's a great fit for a Transformation Manager who pairs strong delivery discipline with strategic judgment, a consulting mindset, and the ability to bring clarity and momentum to ambiguous, interconnected work — strengthening the company's "transformation muscle" by consistently applying and documenting the standard tools and methodologies that keep transformation work reliable and well-tracked.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small projects independently and own defined workstreams or phases of mid-to-large transformation initiatives
  • Partner with senior transformation managers to plan and deliver cross-functional initiatives from initiation through close-out — work that helps employees do their best work and drives real business outcomes
  • Apply core transformation disciplines — project delivery, change management, process assessment, human-centered design, and measurement — choosing the right tool or method for the problem at hand
  • Use TMO frameworks and AI tools to sharpen execution, generate insights, and raise the quality and speed of delivery
  • Bring order to interconnected workstreams by mapping activities, dependencies, handoffs, and decision points into a clear path forward
  • Advise and coach Senior Manager+ stakeholders: ask productive questions, offer an informed point of view, surface tradeoffs, and recommend how to advance the work
  • Build and manage roadmaps, goals, milestones, and plans; monitor execution and course-correct to keep work on track
  • Own scope for assigned work, including change control, impact assessment, timeline adjustments, and clear communication of tradeoffs
  • Maintain accurate logs and project repositories for actions, decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies — reflecting the real state of the work, not the tidy version
  • Produce crisp, right-sized reporting and documentation for different audiences; name blockers early, escalate material risks proactively, and recommend practical next steps
  • Lead pragmatic project rituals — standups, reviews, retrospectives, decision forums — sized to the complexity of the work

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or related work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in project management, management consulting, program delivery, transformation, business operations, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or delivering cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced or matrixed environment; HR or talent-related experience is a plus
  • Foundational project management experience, including project planning, milestone tracking, task dependencies, risk and issue management, and status reporting
  • Experience delivering cross-functional initiatives using end-to-end project management frameworks, non-technical agile practices, change management, and/or human-centered design
  • Ability to influence, consult, and collaborate across multiple organizational levels without relying on formal authority;
  • Strong self-leadership and accountability, with the ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, work independently, and raise flags early when blockers arise
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and flexing across multiple projects, workstreams, and shifting priorities as business needs evolve
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and the ability to translate outcomes into lightweight, actionable plans
  • Experience advising stakeholders on how to structure work, evaluate options, make tradeoffs, escalate risks, and plan mitigations
  • Strong facilitation, written communication, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise, right-sized documentation and drive project progress
  • Working knowledge of change management, systems thinking, process and workflow assessment, continuous improvement, and measurement
  • Familiarity with human-centered design and design thinking, including how to incorporate employee or stakeholder needs into project decisions
  • Experience with cloud-based productivity and project tools, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or Smartsheet; exposure to AI tools and applications is a plus

Suggested Skills:

  • Transformation and Program Delivery
  • Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design
  • Process and Workflow Assessment
  • Stakeholder Influence and Facilitation
  • AI-Enabled Productivity Tools
