Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious Officer to join the Corporate Strategy team. The Officer will contribute to complex strategy projects by conducting rigorous research and analysis, developing fact-based insights, and helping translate findings into clear implications that inform actionable recommendations. Strong candidates will bring analytical rigor, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to high-quality execution. Typical projects may include enterprise and business strategy development, market and competitive intelligence, client segmentation and market sizing, market entry or exit, product and client positioning, profitability, and investment prioritization.

What you will be responsible for
As an Officer on the Corporate Strategy team, you will:
- Work closely with Corporate Strategy colleagues, project leads, and stakeholders across the firm to identify and analyze key business issues and develop insights that support recommendations to improve performance
- Perform market, industry, and competitive research to establish a fact base for strategic projects
- Execute well-defined quantitative and qualitative analyses accurately and on time, actively supporting all phases of the project life cycle
- Identify trends and key insights from analyses and clearly articulate implications
- Develop analytical frameworks and other tools to help structure business problems
- Produce accurate, high-quality analyses and deliverables
- Develop business, industry, and analytical knowledge quickly and apply it effectively through project work and feedback
- Raise thoughtful questions, sense-check facts and outputs, and communicate roadblocks or risks in a timely manner
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through well-structured written materials and effective oral presentations
- Contribute to State Street’s annual strategic planning process and support development of the firm’s long-term corporate strategy

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a strong record of academic achievement
3+ years of relevant work experience; strategy consulting or corporate strategy experience is preferred, particularly within financial services
Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, market research, and competitive assessment
Strong interest in financial services and the ability to build knowledge across State Street’s businesses
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Salary Range:
$65,000 - $113,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
