Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals and initiatives. Key responsibilities include performing code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation, and control of data in operational and analytical data systems. Job expectations include working with stakeholders and Product and Software Engineering teams to aid with implementing data requirements, analyzing performance, and researching and troubleshooting data problems within system engineering domains.

This individual will need strong Product Management skills. This position is responsible for establishing & maturing Data Quality Services Center of Excellence & refining multi-year product strategy and capabilities roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Works across development teams to contribute to the story refinement and delivery of data requirements through the delivery life cycle
  • Leverages architecture components in solution development, codes solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data in operational and analytical data systems per acceptance criteria
  • Builds processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management and defines and builds data pipelines and complex data sets to enable data-informed decision making, identifying and raising risks at all stages of the data engineering process
  • Develops and executes test plans to produce quantitative results, contributes to existing test suites including integration, regression, and performance, analyzes test reports, identifies test issues and errors, and triages underlying causes
  • Drives complex information technology projects to ensure on-time delivery and adheres to team delivery and release processes
  • Identifies, defines, and documents data engineering requirements, communicating required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
  • Works with technology partners and a diverse set of stakeholders to identify and close gaps in data management standards adherence, negotiates paths forward, and helps identify and communicate solutions to complex data problems leveraging knowledge of information systems, techniques, and processes
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance teams to support audits, regulatory exams, and ongoing monitoring, including preparation, validation, and timely submission of product and control evidence. Collaborates with vendor partners to ensure alignment and optimal performance.
  • Drives cross-functional leadership and execution horizontally, and coordinates with key support partners to improve speed of delivery and strategy adherence.
  • Works collaboratively with Technology Managers to drive product strategy and to ensure delivery within budget. Supports forecasting, funding requests, vendor cost management, and cost optimization for Data Quality platforms.
  • Lead critical control routines to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of execution requirements within operational guardrails. Continuously refine process standards to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and support scalable growth.
  • This job is responsible for developing and managing the end-to-end product life cycle for Data Quality products. Key responsibilities include developing short and long-term strategies, conducting market research and competitor analyses, refining the business charge-back approach, and identifying innovative opportunities to modernize the COE offerings and deliver best in class DQ solutions and processes, as well as a more unified user experience.
  • The role also involves establishing governance frameworks, performance metrics, and control standards to ensure product effectiveness, regulatory adherence, and operational excellence.
  • Additionally, the position is accountable for driving continuous improvement by analyzing product performance, user feedback, and operational data to identify opportunities for optimization, risk mitigation, and user satisfaction. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills are essential to influence decision-making, align cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Identifies and creates comprehensive plans for product development, deployment, user onboarding and self-service enablement for enterprise capabilities based on user needs, including supporting the creation of training and communication materials to educate internal teams on product capabilities
  • Provides information on product trends and user needs to Technology teams leveraging knowledge of product functionality, marketplace trends, and the Data Quality solutions landscape
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline or enhance product offerings to fit tenant's existing and future needs and support continued adoption and operational excellence
  • Manages risk through implementing and monitoring effective controls in partnership with key support partners
  • Develops and influences product strategy, driving vendor and internally developed products to provide comprehensive solutions across the bank, Contributes to build vs. buy decisions, and tool rationalization strategies.
  • Define, track, and report product value metrics. Establish OKRs and KPIs aligned to enterprise data quality objectives.
  • Optimize the tenant experience by continuous assessment and oversight of the E2E tenant lifecycle from onboarding to execution and support

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strategic planning/product management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with breadth of view
  • 7+ years of relevant experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Provide oversight on data quality control, validations, rules, and monitoring process design and implementation. 
  • Establish and maintain a standardized intake process that prioritize enterprise data quality needs and align to the most suitable capabilities.
