Job Description

 Team Summary

The AP Digital Sales team is responsible for accelerating Visa’s growth across digital-native clients, fintechs, payment platforms, enablers, issuers, and emerging payment ecosystems. The team builds scalable sales motions that help high-potential clients launch, grow, and optimize payment solutions using Visa’s network, products, data, and value-added services. Working across Asia Pacific, the team partners closely with country, cluster, Product, Client Services, Marketing, Risk, Legal, Finance, and Deal Desk teams to translate market opportunities into repeatable commercial outcomes.

What a Manager, Fintech Growth, Digital Sales, Asia Pacific does at Visa:

As a Manager, Fintech Growth, Digital Sales, Asia Pacific, you will build and lead a regional fintech growth engine for Visa’s Digital Sales organization. You will define the fintech segment strategy, prioritize high-potential opportunities across AP markets, and lead a team of Digital Sales Representatives focused on acquiring, growing, and expanding fintech clients at scale.

This is a builder role that combines people leadership, fintech ecosystem development, territory strategy, digital-first sales execution, and cross-functional orchestration. The role requires strong payments fluency, commercial judgment, and the ability to operate through ambiguity while creating repeatable sales plays that can scale across diverse AP markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Fintech Segment Strategy & Market Development

  • Define and execute the AP Digital Sales fintech growth strategy across priority markets, clusters, and client segments.

  • Build market maps and segmentation models across fintech categories, including digital banks, wallets, payment apps, PSPs, payment facilitators, gateways, embedded finance platforms, lending, remittance, B2B fintechs, commercial payment platforms, BIN sponsors, processors, resellers, and emerging stablecoin or Web3-adjacent payment models where relevant and compliant.

  • Identify high-potential fintechs before they scale and prioritize coverage based on addressable opportunity, payment volume potential, strategic fit, product readiness, and ease of execution.

  • Translate country-specific fintech dynamics, regulatory considerations, competitive signals, and partner ecosystems into actionable regional growth priorities.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Digital Sales Representatives responsible for managing a high-volume portfolio of fintech and digital-native clients across Asia Pacific.

  • Build a high-performance culture through coaching, performance management, talent development, and continuous feedback.

  • Attract, onboard, and retain top sales talent while supporting career growth and succession planning.

  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, deal coaching sessions, and business planning discussions to improve sales effectiveness and team performance.

Sales Execution & Growth

  • Drive new logo acquisition, client expansion, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities across Visa’s network capabilities, issuing and acquiring solutions, commercial payments, tokenization, risk and fraud solutions, cross-border money movement, and value-added services.

  • Lead the team’s engagement with fintech clients across the full growth journey, from early-stage market entrants to scaled regional platforms.

  • Support complex commercial discussions and strategic partnerships with fintechs, digital issuers, embedded finance providers, payment platforms, enablers, processors, and sponsor-bank ecosystems across the region.

  • Coach DSRs on full-cycle sales execution, including prospecting, qualification, solution selling, negotiation, and deal closure.

  • Ensure disciplined pipeline management and execution against sales, revenue, and growth objectives.

  • Create repeatable fintech sales plays, enablement materials, and operating rhythms that improve prospecting, qualification, conversion, activation, and expansion across AP markets.

Portfolio & Territory Management

  • Oversee a large, high-volume territory and portfolio of fintech accounts, ensuring effective prioritization and resource allocation.

  • Develop data-driven territory and coverage models that balance new client acquisition, expansion of existing fintech relationships, partner-led routes to market, and scalable digital engagement.

  • Monitor customer, competitive, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and emerging market needs.

Forecasting & Business Performance

  • Drive forecast accuracy and sales discipline through effective use of CRM, reporting, and analytics tools.

  • Use data, client signals, sales analytics, automation, AI-enabled tools, and platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and MSD to identify opportunities, improve prioritization, and increase seller productivity.

  • Provide regular business reviews and performance updates to leadership, including risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Client Services, Risk, Legal, Finance, Deal Desk, Compliance, and country teams to shape fintech-specific propositions, navigate onboarding and compliance considerations, and accelerate commercial outcomes.

  • Collaborate closely with the regional Fintech leadership team to align Digital Sales priorities with the broader fintech strategy, share market insights, follow regional direction, and ensure consistent execution across countries and clusters.

  • Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority and create strong feedback loops between market needs, product priorities, risk considerations, and Digital Sales execution.

  • Support the development and rollout of regional go-to-market initiatives, product launches, and strategic growth programs.

What success looks like

  • A clear fintech segmentation and territory strategy is in place across AP priority markets.

  • A qualified pipeline of high-potential fintech opportunities is built across new logos, expansion accounts, and partner-led routes to market.

  • Repeatable fintech sales plays are launched and scaled across countries and clusters.

  • Conversion, forecast quality, sales discipline, and client activation improve across the fintech portfolio.

  • Visa’s relevance with fintech clients increases through stronger solution alignment, consultative selling, and adoption of Visa products and value-added services.
