  We are seeking a senior technology executive with a demonstrated track record of delivering large-scale Markets initiatives and building market-leading technology organizations. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and the ability to formulate, influence, and execute a strategic technology vision that delivers measurable business outcomes.

  This leader will be responsible for driving innovation, engineering excellence, data and risk transformation, and technology modernization across Markets. They will partner closely with senior business and technology leaders to define and execute a shared target-state architecture, enhance client and business outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and create sustainable competitive advantage through technology.

  The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, execution-focused, intellectually curious, and passionate about developing talent and building high-performing teams. They operate with integrity, transparency, and accountability, while fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

Strategic Leadership

  • Accountable for the overall strategy, delivery, and operation of Markets IT Data & Risk Technology.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year technology vision aligned with Markets business objectives and enterprise technology strategy.
  • Partner with Markets leadership to drive growth, profitability, risk management, client satisfaction, and operational excellence through technology.
  • Participate in Markets strategic planning, investment prioritization, and operating model decisions.

Data, Risk & Analytics Platform Leadership

  • Define and execute the target architecture for market, counterparty, liquidity, and regulatory risk platforms.
  • Lead the evolution of enterprise data platforms supporting front-office, risk, regulatory, research, and analytics use cases.
  • Drive adoption of modern data architecture, cloud-native technologies, real-time analytics, and AI-enabled decision support capabilities.
  • Establish robust data governance, lineage, quality, metadata management, and controls to support regulatory and business requirements.
  • Deliver scalable solutions that provide accurate, timely, and actionable risk intelligence across asset classes.

Engineering & Technology Transformation

  • Drive engineering excellence through modern software development practices, automation, platform engineering, and continuous delivery.
  • Lead modernization efforts across applications, infrastructure, and data platforms to improve resiliency, scalability, security, and time-to-market.
  • Balance proprietary development, vendor platforms, open-source technologies, and strategic partnerships to maximize business value.
  • Champion architecture simplification, reuse, standardization, and technical debt reduction across the Markets technology estate.

Innovation & Business Enablement

  • Identify and create opportunities for new products, services, and client capabilities through technology innovation.
  • Leverage AI, machine learning, agentic workflows, advanced analytics, and automation to enhance productivity, reduce risk, and increase operating leverage.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation through proofs of concept, rapid prototyping, and iterative delivery.
  • Translate emerging technology trends into practical business solutions and competitive differentiation.

Risk, Controls & Regulatory Excellence

  • Ensure technology solutions meet evolving regulatory, compliance, cybersecurity, resiliency, and operational risk standards.
  • Drive strong technology governance, platform reliability, business continuity, and operational excellence practices.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Data Governance teams to ensure appropriate controls and transparency across critical platforms.

Talent & Organizational Leadership

  • Build, attract, retain, and develop world-class engineering, architecture, and data talent globally.
  • Drive workforce optimization, productivity, succession planning, career development, and technical skill advancement.
  • Establish a high-performance culture characterized by accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Lead geographically distributed teams through organizational change and transformation initiatives.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressively increasing leadership responsibility within financial services technology.
  • Significant experience leading large-scale Markets IT, Risk, Data, or Front Office technology organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of fixed income, FX, equities, derivatives, financing, securities lending, and related market infrastructure.
  • Proven expertise in market data, risk analytics, regulatory reporting, data management, and cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated success managing a portfolio of proprietary applications, vendor platforms, and strategic technology partnerships.
  • Experience leading global teams and managing substantial technology budgets and investment portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns, distributed systems, AI/ML platforms, cloud computing, platform engineering, and cybersecurity.
  • Track record of building high-performing organizations and developing future technology leaders.

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $282,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
