Job Description

Purpose of the role: Own the local customer engagement strategy for assigned brand(s). Translate Takeda’s central brand strategy and modular content into a locally executable plan. Design the customer journey, orchestrate omnichannel engagement, and manage local investment. Deliver better patient outcomes and business results — shifting from bespoke local assets to insight-led engagement. Ultimately, the role is responsible for local brand performance — market competitiveness and financial results — anchored in Takeda's values of Patient, Trust, Reputation and Business.

Responsibilities:

1. Healthcare Professional (HCP) Engagement

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key Healthcare Professionals, particularly within Cardiology and other adult specialties, to advance customer engagement, medical education, and vaccination advocacy programs.

  • Develop and execute local omnichannel engagement strategies aligned with global brand direction.

  • Design and optimize customer journeys across field force, events, congresses, digital, and non-personal channels.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful customer engagement initiatives.

  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and campaign performance to continuously improve engagement effectiveness.

  • Manage local engagement budgets, forecasting, and investment allocation to maximize ROI.

  • Partner with Sales teams to ensure effective communication of brand messages and customer value propositions.

  • Utilize data, analytics, CRM, and AI-enabled tools to support personalized customer engagement.

2. Consumer Engagement

  • Lead end-to-end consumer awareness and vaccination campaigns across digital, social media, point-of-care, events, and partnerships.

  • Translate consumer insights into innovative campaigns that drive awareness and preventive health behaviors.

  • Build and manage partnerships with healthcare institutions, agencies, digital partners, insurers, and external stakeholders.

  • Develop media strategies and optimize campaign performance through data-driven decision-making.

  • Track campaign KPIs, generate actionable insights, and continuously improve future activation programs

Background requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, nutrition, FMCG companies / healthcare marketing, consumer engagement or omnichannel activation.

  • Experience localizing central strategy and content and orchestrating cross-functional, omnichannel engagement.

  • Experience managing activity budgets and working within compliance / MLR processes.

  • Proven track record in designing and executing omnichannel campaigns across digital, social, and offline channels

  • Proven experience in managing creative consumer projects within a marketing agency or similar environment

  • Experience in data-driven marketing, including segmentation, targeting, and personalization strategies

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working with sales, brand, and external agencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and agencies

  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative ideas

Capabilities

  • Deep therapy area, product and local customer knowledge.

  • Omnichannel orchestration and customer-journey / experience design.

  • Data, analytics and AI fluency — interpreting omnichannel performance and working with NBA / decision engines and CRM.

  • Modular-content and MLR literacy; reuse-first mindset.

  • Budget and ROI management for local engagement activities.

  • Agile, test-and-learn ways of working.

Education

  • Relevant degree (e.g., life sciences, marketing or business); advanced qualification an advantage. Specific requirements to be confirmed locally.
