Job Description

Senior Procurement Business Partner is a part of Site Leadership Team in Oranienburg. As the key link between the Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) site and Procurement you will translate business needs into effective sourcing strategies, ensure alignment with global procurement frameworks, and drive value through strong supplier partnerships and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Strategy

  • Serve as the primary procurement partner to the Oranienburg Site Leadership Team (Site Head, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, EHS).

  • Translate business needs into clear procurement strategies and challenge demand where appropriate.

  • Align site priorities with global procurement strategies and support implementation of regional initiatives.
     

Procurement Execution & Value Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including tenders, negotiations, and contract management.

  • Execute local procurement activities and implement globally negotiated agreements at site level.

  • Drive cost savings, value creation initiatives, and delivery of site-level financial targets.
     

Supplier & Risk Management

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable supply.

  • Lead supplier negotiations, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Identify and mitigate supply and operational risks, ensuring business continuity.
     

Governance, Compliance & Transformation

  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, compliance standards, and audit requirements.

  • Monitor procurement performance and provide structured reporting to stakeholders.

  • Support process improvements, digitalization, and adoption of efficient ways of working.
     

Your Profile

Experience & Expertise

  • 8+ years of procurement experience across direct and indirect categories in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven track record in sourcing, negotiations, and delivering cost/value initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of category management, supplier management, and procurement processes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.

  • Experience working in global, matrix organizations.

  • Solid analytical skills and commercial mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluent in English.

Preferred

  • Experience in pharma, biotech, FMCG, or consulting.

  • Knowledge of Capex sourcing and project-based procurement.

  • Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement tools.

  • Additional language skills (e.g. German).
     

Working Model

  • Hybrid role with regular on-site presence (minimum 2 days per week).

  • On-site participation required for key meetings and business-critical activities.

Base Salary Range:

€114,400.00 - €157,300.00
