Job Description
About the Role:
As a member of the Digital Health team, you will support the ongoing operation, expansion, and optimization of launched Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) Digital Health products. Working closely with development teams, Software Device Quality, Global Regulatory Affairs, Local Operating Companies (LOCs), and analytics teams, you will be responsible for driving and prioritizing the product backlog and coordinating product activities across multiple markets and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex initiatives, driving cross-functional execution, and ensuring products continue to deliver value after launch in a regulated industry. You will help manage product enhancements, support market expansion and localization activities, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
How you will contribute:
Product Operations & Lifecycle Management: Support the ongoing maintenance, enhancement and lifecycle management of launched Digital Health Products. Coordinate cross-functional activities required for product updates, releases, launch expansions and operational improvements.
User story & acceptance criteria: Define new enhancements through translating user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria as a communication bridge between strategy and development teams.
Technical Backlog Ownership: in partnership with the therapeutic area portfolio lead, own the technical backlog, prioritizing new feature requests, technical debt, and regulatory requirements to optimize value to patients, healthcare professionals, and Takeda.
Product Performance and Analytics: Continuously align with data analytics teams to own, maintain, and prioritize the product data analytics and success metrics. Define and monitor KPIs to benchmark product performance. Use data and stakeholder feedback to recommend product improvements.
Market Expansion & Localization: Coordinate launch and localization activities for new countries. Collaborate with local operating companies (LOCs) at the country-level to gather feedback, manage review processes and ensure launch readiness and in some cases product sunsetting.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of coordination between global cross-functional teams and local markets. Facilitate regular communication, status updates and governance activities. Ensure stakeholders remain informed on priorities, timelines and decisions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Digital Health, Life Sciences, Engineering, Informatics, or related field.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience as product owner or product manager is required. 8+ years of experience preferred.
A proven track record managing a technical backlog, development team, and interfacing with cross-functional stakeholders required.
Strong organizational and project coordination skill required.
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, digital health, or regulated environments is preferred but not required.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.
Strong understanding of Agile ways of working, product lifecycle management and software delivery process.
Experience with data analysis, reporting, or KPI tracking is preferred.
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, digital health, or regulated environments is preferred but not required.
