Amazon Freight is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freight Operations Associate to support the movement of freight shipments for our external customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing team responsible for ensuring seamless freight movements across North America for our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a background in transportation and logistics, with excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for communicating directly with external partners such as carriers and suppliers to resolve daily freight movement issues. This role requires the ability to quickly understand business impacts, pull and analyze data from multiple systems, and drive process improvements to eliminate root causes of defects.

Key job responsibilities
• Maintain constant, tactical communication with external freight partners (carriers, suppliers, and customers) and internal stakeholders (product, business intelligence, sales, and fulfillment centers)
• Expertly pull data from various databases using tools like Excel, SQL, and Access to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Publish performance metrics to help drive business results and identify areas for improvement
• Systematically escalate issues or data variances to the appropriate teams and follow through on resolutions
• Meet tight deadlines to address critical business needs while tracking and measuring your own activities
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations
